Sight Singing

Sight singing is the art of reading printed music at first sight. You will not become an accomplished reader in the available six sessions, but you should get some idea of the basics, an idea on which you can then build after the school is over.

The course is aimed at beginners, and the course materials are designed around the needs of beginners. Adaptations may be made for students who have some prior experience in sight singing.

The first part of the course covers the basics of reading music, as this is not primarily a singing course. As the basics are mastered, more singing takes place as the week goes by.
